If you've been searching for a therapist for a while now, this is your time to stop and take a moment to breathe. Finding the right therapist can be daunting, but I'm confident you've come across the right page! Feel free to watch an introductory video here.
Although I have many areas of expertise and training, one of my biggest passions is helping survivors of trauma on their healing journey. I started this journey soon after high school when I volunteered at the local ACT shelter for survivors of domestic violence. I continued this journey by working with military families, first responders, human trafficking survivors, and those with intense childhood trauma.
Even though I wanted to work in the mental health field ever since I was 12, it wasn't until all these experiences that I realized how many people suffer from their past traumas. I knew then how important it was to get specialized training in trauma as it seemed to impact all areas of life, including an increase in common issues like anxiety, depression, OCD, toxic or unhealthy relationships, and more!
Today, I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and trauma therapist in Fort Myers, FL, offering EMDR therapy and trauma-informed care to adults and children. Over the past 7 years, I’ve worked in a variety of clinical mental health settings, supporting individuals, couples, and families navigating the aftermath of trauma.
Sometimes abuse and/or domestic violence can be subtle and difficult to pinpoint. If narcissistic abuse or unhealthy relationships feel familiar to you, or you're stuck figuring out what's going on in your relationship(s), you've come to the right place! I specialize in working with people who feel stuck in guilt, shame, and struggle to feel safe with themselves and others. I can also help you gain a better understanding of the cycles and patterns that may be causing you or your family emotional distress and chaos.
Even the best of relationships can face trials and tribulations due to external pressures, family conflict, breakdowns in communication, lack of boundaries, and trouble understanding one another. Some of these concerns may be addressed through couples or individual counseling, depending on your needs. Revitalize Counseling can help you get back to the basics and foundation of what your relationship needs to succeed! This can vary based on your values, needs, dealbreakers, and more!
I believe in the importance of being empathetic, warm, and encouraging. I provide a collaborative and integrative approach to treatment. Although I am the mental health expert, YOU are the expert on you and your life!
Trauma lives in the body. Sometimes talk therapy just isn't enough. If that's the case with you and you're ready to try something different, EMDR might be the next best thing. I am EMDRIA trained in EMDR (Eye Movement and Desensitization Reprocessing) which is a very effective and evidenced-based practice to treat trauma.
Tics are both involuntary and voluntary movements typically following some kind of "urge". Sometimes it can feel like someone else is in control of your movements, which can cause physical tension and pain, annoyance, and anxiety for how others might perceive you. I am certified in Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT), the first-line treatment for those struggling with tics or related movement disorders.
From babysitting to volunteering at local schools and churches, I've been working with children since high school. Over the past 7 years, I have worked for non-profit organizations, government, and private practice settings working with children and adolescents 5-18 years old. To children, playing equals communication! This is why it's so important to incorporate play into child therapy.
OCD is a lifelong condition, but there's good news! It's manageable with the right treatment. ERP (Exposure & Response Prevention) and I-CBT (Inference-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) are both effective ways to tackle OCD symptoms. We can decide together which option works best for you. If you're not sure your symptoms stem from OCD, together we can come to an accurate diagnosis.
I am Prepare/Enrich certified for pre-marital counseling and Level 1 Gottman trained for couples counseling. Pre-marital counseling is a great option for ensuring you have the necessary skills to have a long, healthy marriage. These skills can also be applied to family counseling, divorce counseling, and co-parenting support.
*Revitalize Counseling is LGBTQ+ and polyamory friendly.
Whether you're going through a divorce or have been divorced for years, this group is open to women that still feel hurt, "broken", uncertain how to move forward, or just need help processing their thoughts and feelings. We will take some time to work through a divorce recovery workbook as well as some less structured time to share thoughts, progress, and goals.

"Chelsea is a compassionate and insightful therapist who has a remarkable way of connecting with others. Her warm, nonjudgmental presence creates a safe space for healing and self-discovery. Chelsea's genuine care and dedication inspire confidence and growth!"
-Nathalie
"I highly recommend her!"
-Jenna
She has a beautiful soul
Despite what she sees
She has a beautiful mind
Despite what she thinks
Her personality is like no other
And she only strives to get better
She remains calm
In the toughest of weather
She’s understanding
To everyone surrounding
She brings light and laughter
To those who suffer
She is kind
Even amongst feelings of anger
She is confident
In the choices she makes
She is cautious
But doesn’t play it safe
She’s appreciative and thoughtful
Even to those that are undeserving
She’s fun and outgoing
Even when all she wants is to run and hide
She’s a good friend
To those that let her in
She loves
Probably more than she should
She is worthy
Of the life she desires
She is brave
In many different ways
She is simply herself
Every single day
However, she is not perfect…
She is just perfectly imperfect.
She doesn’t always see it
She may not always believe it
She may doubt herself from time to time
And worry about things that are constantly on her mind
But she will continue to work to be everything she wants to be
She will one day see herself for who she truly is
Someone whose light
Will one day outshine
The darkness she wishes to leave behind
-Me, myself, and I
“It took me 23 years to finally write something positive and uplifting about myself. I highly suggest if you like writing and struggle with self-worth/esteem issues, try writing something creative and positive about yourself. Even if you can’t come up with anything you think is true, try writing about the version of yourself you want to see one day or how you want others to see you. We often forget (or don’t know how) to practice self-love and self-care but it’s absolutely necessary to live a happy and healthy life. (If writing isn’t for you, find out what is!) Especially for anyone dealing with mental health issues or life stressors (as we all do at some time or another).”
Starting August 2026, I will be accepting new registered interns for qualified supervision. I will be offering both group and individual sessions. I am passionate about helping new professionals find their confidence as they navigate the challenges of working in the helping profession. I believe in putting in the same effort towards promoting client and therapist care as my mentor did for me when I was a registered intern!
